ABOUT THE QUEEN BEE
"Why not", is what I like to say when people ask me why start a business at age 40?

For 20 long and life lessoned years, my hands went through the motions in a small town production company, specifically in the shipping department. I like to think my hands typed effortless across the keyboard, and I might add I was pretty skilled with the tape gun. These hands provided food on the table, supported my family, cheered on my kids as loud as possible, but never saw the light of day when it was time to punch that time card.

For the longest time, I knew my hands were designed to create, made to get a little dirty, and most importantly to be washed and pampered throughout the day with only the best sudsy, smelly,
yummy high quality soaps.
"When one door closes, another one opens", speaks volumes.

The day I was pulled into the office, and was told they are letting me go, I knew this was a blessing in disguise, and my hands were finally set free. It was time to dig deep, discover my passions, and place my hands in the sunlight for the very first time, because my hands deserved it.
I started making soap in the Spring of 2011, and haven't stopped since. I have all the love and thanks for my friends, family, loyal and new costumers that still choose to wake up and smell Queen Bee Handmade Soaps. Farmer's Markets and Art and Craft Fairs have been a big part of my development, where I get to interact with costumers and really form a genuine friendship with each face that approaches my booth.
As seasons change, I thought, "Well heck, my soaps should too!" I can proudly say I have over 70 products that suits every different nose out there. I've listened to my amazing customers requests and suggestions, and I now can proudly say I additionally carry lotions, candles,
deodorants, shaving soap, and scrubs.
What's my goal you may ask?
It is to continue doing what I love, and to simply spread that love in many homes as possible. In the busy and hard working world we live in, we must not forget to treat and take care of our hands and bodies. Believe me when I say this, "Because nothing is too good for the Queen Bee that lives in all of us!"
